Fixing sockets Description
Fixing sockets provides the most effective method of lifting precast concrete elements. There are many kinds of lifting sockets. These strong steel lifting sockets are supplied with a through hole below the thread to take a reinforcing bar, located and tied to the main reinforcement to provide a secure anchorage point in the concrete.
The Fixing Socket with a Crimped End uses its low height and individual fixing possibilities suitable for fastening pillars and props and for receiving axial forces. Into the yellow galvanized or stainless steel manufactured socket, a metric thread is cut in, which should be greased before the installation into the precast concrete unit. for fastening to a steel formwork to prevent dirt and concrete from penetrating the thread of the socket, plastic stoppers respectively holding discs are used.
