PM Motor Magnets

Rare Earth magnets (Samarium Cobalt and Neodymium magnets), can be used in magnetic motor and vehicle magnet applications. Rare Earth magnets are typically two to three times stronger than ferrite or ceramic permanent magnets. In electric motors, that results in greater performance from smaller, lighter motors. However, rare earth magnets are also more expensive than ferrite (ceramic) options.
