Project 1:
Arc magnets are usually assembled into magnetic drum separators. In this separator, the rotatory drum in the magnetic field captures the ferrous material whereas non ferrous falls free from the drum into the cleaned material flow. The force between the two magnetic fields tends to rotate the motor shaft. The commutator causes required current reversal and applies power to the machine in an optimal manner as the rotor rotates from pole to poles, so that the motor won't stop.
