How Do Magnetic Drawers Work?
Magnetic drawers work by forcing your dry, free-flowing powder or granules to pass through a grid of high-intensity magnetic tubes inside a sealed housing. As material drops through, the magnetic field pulls out ferrous tramp metal, iron dust, chips, and small fragments and holds them tightly on the tube surfaces while clean product continues downstream. You usually install the drawer magnet under a hopper, chute, or inline transition so every batch is screened before it reaches sensitive equipment like mixers, mills, or extruders. When it's time to clean, you slide out the drawers, wipe or quick-clean the tubes, and put them back fast, simple, and with low downtime.
