What Are Hump Magnet Separators?
The Magnetic Hump is an in-line magnet for extracting ferrous metals from pneumatic conveyor systems. The dust-proof galvanized steel hump contains two powerful magnetic plates positioned at right angles to each other.
Materials passing through the conveyor system are evenly distributed through the hump and across the magnets with little turbulence and no blockage. Any unwanted ferrous metals within these materials will be automatically extracted. The hump is fitted with an inspection window to provide visual evidence of the magnet's functional efficiency.
Features of the Hump Magnet
Both manual and pneumatic versions are available in all models. With the pneumatic versions, a push of a button is sufficient to remove all the ferrous particles collected in the valve box chamber. Optionally, this type can be supplied with an electrically operated valve. All the components of the pneumatic system conform to the ISO and CETOP standards.

How Do Hump Magnet Separators Work?
When utilizing a Hump-style Magnetic Separator, material flows through a specially designed housing. This housing forces the material stream to sweep laterally across the surface of a powerful magnetic plate. As powders, granules, or other free-flowing materials pass through, any entrained ferrous impurities and other ferromagnetic contaminants are attracted to and firmly held against the surface of the magnetic plate, while the clean, finished product continues to flow forward along the pipeline. This design significantly increases the contact area between the material and the magnetic field, thereby enhancing separation efficiency.
