What Are The Typical Magnetization Patterns Of Round Magnets And Square Magnets?

Leave a message

1. Typical magnetization pattern

Orientation (Anisotropy): Better magnetism in a given direction. During fabrication, a magnetic field is applied along a preferred magnetization direction to orient the material and increase the performance potential of the magnet. Using oriented materials, the multipolar magnetizing flux "passes through" the magnet, making both sides of the magnet stronger.

Non-directional (isotropic): has the same magnetic properties in all directions. During the manufacturing process, the magnets are not exposed to magnetic fields. This material can be magnetized in any magnetization mode. This material is weaker than the oriented material. For non-oriented materials, the multipolar magnetizing flux bends inside the magnet so that it becomes stronger on one side only.

2. Magnetization patterns apply to both oriented and non-oriented magnet materials.

run through

A bar of length - one end is magnetized North and the other end is magnetized South.

rod

Across the length or axis - magnetize North at one end and South at the other.

block through thickness

- Magnetize North on one side of the thickness and South on the other.

a disc or ring through the thickness

- One side of the disc magnetizes North and the other side magnetizes South.

square magnet

Across Width or Across Width - Magnetize North on one side of the width and South on the other.

round

Multiple poles (two or more) on the surface Magnetized through the thickness - Magnetized with more than one set of N/S poles on one or both faces of the magnet.

3. Flexible magnetic pole pattern

A. Conventional magnetization: There is one pole on each side of the magnet. One side is the North Pole and the other is the South Pole.

B. Multipole (Standard): Two poles per side (B1) or multiple poles (B2); two or more sets of poles on each face for an open circuit design. North and south poles alternate through the thickness of the material. Where practicable, steel backing is preferable.
